  • Description: 1,4-Benzothiazine derivatives of the formula; wherein R1 and R2 independently stand for hydrogen, halogen, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group or trifluoromethyl group, or R1 and R2, taken together, form a 5-7 membered ring represented by wherein n is an integer of 3 to 5 or a 5-6 membered ring represented by wherein m is 1 or 2, R3 and R4 independently stand for hydrogen, halogen, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group or trifluoromethyl group, R5 stands for hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, and A stands for an alkylene group or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, are useful as prophylactic or therapeutic drugs for, among others, hypertension and ischemic cardiovascular diseases.
