Description:
「はじめに」 Fusarium oxysporum Schlechtend: Fr.は, 多様な植物に萎凋性病害を引き起こす土壌伝搬性植物病原菌であり, 難防除病原菌として世界各地で問題となっている. 本菌による病害の的確な防除技術確立のため, その発病メカニズムの分子生物学的な解析が進められている. これまでに約40の病原性関連因子が報告されている1-3)が, 発病メカニズムの全貌が明らかになったとは言いがたいのが現状である. REMI (Restriction Enzyme-Mediated Integration)法4)は, ゲノム中に効率的に外来DNA断片を挿入する形質転換法であり, 単相核を有する菌類の遺伝子機能解析に適している. REMI法を用いて作出した病原性変異株は病原性関連遺伝子の同定や機能解析にも有効であることが示唆されている3,5-8). 一方, 非病原性フザリウム菌を生物防除資材として用いてF. oxysporumによる病害を制御できることが報告されており, 研究が進められている9-11).
